| Fellow Questers,
As outgoing president, I want to say thank you to everyone who attended our recent AGM. We reviewed all of the reports from the various volunteers serving the society and feel we are in a very good place moving forward into the future. All members have received a package of these reports; they are also available in the members’ section of www.questers.ca
I would also like to report that no one has come forward yet to become the new president or vice president of The Canadian Society of Questers. As past president, I will continue to be involved volunteering with Questers and will support our able Board of Directors in all ways that I can. Meanwhile, we welcome two new members to our board of directors: membership secretary Paisley Town, and Debra Genesse. Thank you Paisley and Deb!
Additionally, no one has stepped up as the lead coordinator for our annual conference. As outgoing conference coordinator, Deb has put forth many suggestions as to what is needed moving forward to coordinate our conferences, including that we further divide the work load among more volunteers, targeting specific tasks to specific people, making the whole process more cooperative and fun.
With that in mind, our team is working on some wonderful and very cool volunteer positions that will soon become available for members to apply for. We will be announcing these new positions before our Open Forum meeting in December, so stay tuned!
Many blessings,
Jacquelyn Rose |
