Knock and the Door Will Open

In 1995 I was taught a whole-body dowsing technique. It is called the lean test. It is mainly used to test whether various foods benefit the body. The first step is to tap lightly on the breastbone above the heart to clear the acupuncture meridians passing through or near it. The next step is to place a food item in front of the solar plexus. If the body leans forward the food is beneficial to consume. If the body leans backward the food is not beneficial. Sometimes the lean can knock a person off balance. In most tests the lean is gentle. This test can be used in supermarkets without drawing the attention of other shoppers.
I was told the technique came through Chinese acupuncture, but I knew the tapping of breastbone also goes back to early Christianity. Tapping the breastbone appears in the Latin Catholic Mass dating to the third century. During the blessing of the bread and wine the priest taps his breastbone three times while saying a prayer. At the large monastery at Mount Athos in northern Greece monks tap while in prayer. The monks have a centuries-long reputation for effective prayer healings, especially in group prayer.
Over many years I have not felt heart-love. I can remember heart-love as a child and special times as an adult, but I could not move into feeling the pulsation of love through the heart. Women appear to be able to open their hearts whereas men have difficulty. HeartMath states that the heart has a far more powerful magnetic field than the brain. Trying to use the mind to open the heart does not work. Negative emotions and trauma block love.
Christian teachings associate love with accepting higher truth. A person must be small and humble. There are no direct Christ instructions linking tapping the breastbone and opening to love other than, “Knock and the Door Will Open.” Most churches do not teach this. So, I experimented and found that it does work. I tap until I feel a gentle pulsation under the breastbone and then hold my attention around the gentle love. It is like cupping one’s hands around a candle flame to shield it from wind.
Living in the world, heart love is constantly being extinguished. The heart then feels muffled by static. Tapping breaks through the static.
Opening one’s heart improves dowsing power and accuracy. The power cannot be misused. Gentleness and humility are the signs of a master dowser.
