Want to THANK all you Folks who sent Birthday greetings.
Since I started a garden 50 years ago on a poor rocky hillside and have transformed into rich fertile soil, I can say I’m older than dirt.
Let’s get this new year off to a good start with something called FREEDOM. It comes in a variety of ways, here are a few simple ideas.
For you folks who have bought a dowsing instrument called ‘bobber’ from us, you know it arrived in a round cardboard tube.
Recently went to the post office to mail some packages and a bobber. Due to the computer not working at the local post office, I went to another small town a few miles away.
The postal worker got a measuring tape and started measuring the length and diameter of the cardboard shipping container.
I asked him why, and he said he had just completed a 3 week training course as a postal employee and was told to measure every package. I thought this odd as no one else had ever done that.
He continue to measure in a number of ways and said it would cost $8 to ship the package.
Told him I had paid $5 for a few years and refused to pay any more.
He stopped measuring and said in that case, he would ship it for $5.
This is a small example of what I call ‘self empowerment ’.
You have to train people how to treat you.

Was taking to a friend who said she buys a Christmas gift for a family member every year and the woman tells her why she didn’t like the gift.
Told her this was good year to stop buying the gifts ~~now the woman will have one less thing to complain about. Problem solved.

Society dictates that it is appropriate to wear a suit and tie to attend funerals.
I neither own a suit and tie nor attend funerals. Problem solved.

Seems people have made a lot of rules for others to follow. Why should we follow rules others have made? Let them follow their own rules.

Seems like the cowboy philosopher Will Rogers said this. “Never miss a chance to mind your own business.”
Quote this to those who are telling you how to live your life ~~when their life is not working well.

Wisdom from an American Indian
“Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized men, we didn’t have any kind of prison. Because of this, we had no delinquents. Without a prison, there can be no delinquents. We had no locks nor keys and therefore, among us there were no thieves. When someone was so poor that he couldn’t afford a horse, a tent, or a blanket, he would, in that case, receive it all as a gift. We were too uncivilized to give great importance to civilized property. We didn’t know any kind of money and consequently, the value of a human being was not determined by his wealth. We had no written laws laid down, no lawyers, no politicians, therefore we were not able to cheat and swindle one another. We were really in bad shape before the white men arrived and I don’t know how to explain how we were able to manage these fundamental things that (so they tell us) are so necessary for a civilized society.” –John (Fire) Lame Deer Sioux Lakota
