Exploring the Earth Mysteries of Vancouver Island

Dawn Kirkham was born and grew up in Liverpool in the Northwest of England. She first learned to dowse almost thirty years ago and has enjoyed learning and growing with this practice ever since. Dawn emigrated to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada in 2009 and continued to focus on her passion for dowsing, earth energies and land and space healing amongst other things.

Dawn will be sharing with us her experiences of making contact with a very different landscape, and its more subtle inhabitants. This journey has challenged what she thought she knew about her relationship with the earth and subtle energies, belonging and listening to the soul of the landscape. AUTHOR – Serah Roer, long time Quester and past Membership secretary – writes about the Spring Questers conference in Red Deer. Serah provides a very clear picture of the speakers and the take-away for each of us for everyday living..

The title of the Conference proved to be extremely appropriate to the speakers. The Baymont Inn in Red Deer has a new conference room that could accommodate the venue tables easily. The new dining room provided us with the buffet meals and room to socialize at meal times. The hospitality room buzzed with activity, laughter and deep conversation until late in the evenings.

The Opening Speakers set the tone for the 3day event. Cindy Johnston and Tyhson Banighen collaborated to clear the Time Lines of Control.

After lunch on Friday, Anick Bourbonniere shared her Out of Body experiences and the gifts that came through her work with children. We were all asked to choose a little rock from a bag and to hold this rock for as long as possible before the Post Conference workshop, where we will learn to listen to our dreams, practice intuition, and see what life brings, as we learn to do what we do without forcing things. Light language is a treat to experience. So much Joy and Love is expressed through the sounds.

Georgia Miller, Elder Talk. Georgia shared the story of how her journey to Questers started, and then talked a bit about some of the early Quester conferences.

Michael Horn. Keynote Speaker. As the North American who has been following Billy Meier’s writings and work for many years, he titled his Conference and Post Conference Talks –“Time Traveler’s Vision of our Future” This has revealed for us again, the long-lost man from the German Swiss border who saw space ships and conversed with the space beings. Michael Horn has followed Billy’s life, writings, many predictions past, present and future that are laid out and have become and are becoming real. Time will tell and Billy’s books tell all. Space Beings told Billy. ‘Don’t worry about dying, you will live through it’. Billy has had attacks and his life threatened several times by powers that be and nay-sayers.

On Saturday morning. Jacqui Rose led us in an Open Forum for the Quester Society, to help us reinvent and regenerate our community of Dowsers and Energy Workers. Ideas for the Chapters to develop in new ways, creating strong committees and encouraging Volunteers. The Staff at the Conference were sporting smart purple T shirts with the Quester Logo on the front and back. They are available for the membership to buy and Chapters will have them to show their members at meetings. We are being reminded to respect Copyright and to share experiences by sending articles to Roger Joyeux for inclusion in the Quester Journal and to Judith Hirst to put in the Website Blog. Rob Cheyne is busy getting the quester website all up to date.

Judith Hirst gave us a wonderful picture, after the morning break, of her life and experiences as a Shamanistic Leader and Spiritual Medium. After being told by a psychic Aunty, as a child, that ‘she should hide her light under a bushel’, Judith came out to us and told us the 10 lessons she learned as a medium, about her New Death Experiences and much more.

The Healing Power of Qi Gong was presented after lunch by Mario. We were told of the energy that is created by practicing everyday, the Breath, Physical Postures and gentle movements, combined with focused intent. Qi Gong is becoming the most popular exercise system in the country. One 40-minute session a day gives a raft of benefits, physical, mental and healing energy. Mario took us through the gentle movements, as a group. You could have heard a pin drop; we were all so focused!

Sarah Salter Kelly. A Modern Shaman. Told us the energetics of Power. How to be comfortable with our instincts, and come from a place of Love with Authority, Autonomy, Authenticity and Altruism. That Life does not happen to us. We are not victims. That Power happens in the Present, when we Love and are in Balance. Experiencing both the energy of FEAR and LOVE, we can balance and transform the energies.

Rev. Susan Collins. Drawing the Future towards us was the final speaker of the Conference. Susan is a Professional Dowser and Spiritual Minister with years of experience and the writer of many books on the subjects. She likes to share her knowledge widely. She has learned from many respected and well- known dowsers, many of whom have been presenters at past CSQ Conferences. We are reminded that anyone can dowse and that the tools you use amplify what you already know. She showed us the Dowsing Protocols and charts to use with the pendulum. Setting goals and reading of the wisdom of those elders who have taught dowsing, can apply to us Now. Susan emphasized that clear intention with physical action is essential and went through several pages of instructions for us take home and to practice.

Throughout the conference we were reminded to use grounding techniques that we learned from the speakers.

Visualize,
be silent,
walk barefoot in the grass,
lie face down on the ground,
use our pendulums.
Work in groups of likeminded people to create powerful energies to broadcast to the planet.
To Love and Nurture our Country Canada.
To Meditate and Ohm in groups with strong intentions.

The Conference was an inspiring event where having a comparatively small number of participants turned out to have been most beneficial with everyone in the room tuned in and enthusiastic and resulting in the creation of high and powerful energies.

Hello Questers!

The Canadian Society of Questers spring conference was featured in the Red Deer Advocate paper on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Sean McIntosh interviewed our president, Jacquelyn Rose on Friday, and snapped a picture of Jacqui with our Conference Page Manager and Web Manager, Rob Cheyne.

The article’s theme is “sharing ancient wisdoms”, and Mr. McIntosh did a fine job of capturing the essence of Questers. The article talks about the conference speakers in a general way, about the roots of Questers, and about empowering people.

April 1, 2019–Happy April Fool’s Day!

Today, April 1, is called April Fools’ Day. This is a day that was meant to be filled with laughter and foolish, harmless pranks.

Some of the foolish things that happen in the Western World are:

spoofing people into believing an event has happened, even though it really is a prank
sending people chasing after false phone calls, emergency situations, and even false arrests
marking people with signs like “kick me” or other funny signs

All of these little episodes are a way to take people outside of themselves, and to immerse them in something beyond their control.

April Fools’ Day is a gift that lets us experience living in the present moment.

A Curry, You Say?

I have friends that swear by the power of curry to cure what ever ails a person. When I was feeling the after effects of the flu and then a cold, they urged me to have some curry dishes. I like the taste of curry so having curry is not a problem for me. I did get to wondering about the actual health benefits. I did some research.

My findings are below. And, they hold up the the idea that there are many health benefits to curry. If you like curry, try some dishes on a regular basis. If you don’t like curry, it may be time to try to cultivate a taste for it.

A curry is essentially a blend of various spices used as a sauce in dishes, and in the case of this study’s tested formula, a traditional Japanese combination was used containing the following 8 herbs: Clove, coriander, cumin, garlic, ginger, onion, red pepper, turmeric.
Spicy curries are particularly good for boosting your body’s natural immunity and fighting off colds, thanks to the beneficial ingredients chili pepper, paprika and garlic.
Arthritis relief – Ginger has been proven to ease joint paint caused by arthritis, while curcumin, a substance found in turmeric, is thought to reduce swelling and ease the pain associated with inflammation of the joints.
Good for your heart – Phytochemicals found in cumin are thought to help prevent heart disease, while coriander and chili peppers both help to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of blood clots. Turmeric has also been found to guard against heart attacks.
Lower Cholesterol – Three common curry ingredients – garlic, onion and chili peppers – have been found to help reduce high cholesterol levels.
Metabolism boost – Studies have found that capsaicin, which is found in spices like chili, can raise your metabolic rate by up to 50% for as long as three hours after a curry.

Judith Hirst – Medium

Judith remembers seeing and hearing things that other people could not see or hear when she was six or seven. Since then, her work with the paranormal has expanded. She has been able to study with great teachers to learn more about working with the unseen. Her studies include becoming a healing facilitator, and learning BodyTalk, EFT, and Reiki. Judith has been trained by Cherokee shaman, Blackfoot shaman, and by a Sangoma (shaman) from South Africa. Other training comes from Wiccan, Druid, and Mystical teachers. Some of her knowledge is self-taught. Over the years, Judith developed a mystical training program called “The Star Talker Program” that she taught from 2007 to 2012. Along the way, Judith has offered mediumship services to the public. Judith and her husband Roger continue to host meditation gatherings at their house, a practice they established in 2003. Along with her spiritual pursuits, Judith works a full-time job as a Senior Business Analyst in the technology world. As of October 2018, she serves on the Questers Board as secretary. Anick Bourbonniere -has the ability to connect and to channel the higher vibrational realms. Keeping Your Perspective

Wisdom pops up in the strangest places sometimes. Check out the picture above. It is excellent advice on dealing with people that have strong opinions that do not really matter.

The writer in white is showing an example of mindfulness about the person that he is dealing with… and he is doing it with grace.

Sometimes, we just need to walk away from a person that is giving off a toxic energy. Quite simple!

Welcome March 2019

March is a wonderful time of the year! It makes us think of green grass and leaves and fresh air and baby animals and golfing and camping and swimming/water skiing. It feels like freedom.

Some things to know for March:

Daylight saving time 2019 in Canada will begin at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday March 10 and ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday November 3. All times are in Eastern Time.

March 2: Old Stuff Day – Old Stuff Day is not a day to do the same old stuff. Rather, it’s a time to recognize the boring nature of your daily routine, and make some exciting changes. Find new and different activities, projects, and hobbies. Attend an event. Do something, anything, different. You will be glad that you did!

March 14: Pi Day celebrates the annual occurrence of 3/14 with math jokes, pi-reciting competitions, and (of course) freshly baked pie.

Spring Equinox -March 20: The sun shines on the equator for the Vernal Equinox, giving us a near 50-50 split of day and night.
